I installed XP Sp3 then installed the the chip set drivers and Dell System files with drivers that came on the Dell Drivers and Utilities disk. The issue I have is that Device Manager displays 4 items with a question mark listed as "data interface".

I spoke with Dell Technical support and were unable to resolve this issue without replacing the system. The system shipped with XP Home.

If anyone has an idea on how to fix this it would be appreciated.

try copying the driver disk to the hard drive. Then from device manager, right click on one of the devices with a question mark. I can't remember exactly, but you want to proceed some how with getting XP to scan for changes and then when prompted, search for drivers where you copied the driver disk to the hard drive.
