If you are fed up of using the Vodafone Mobile Connect Software and the buggy Dell Wireless Manager in Windows 7, the easiest way to get online is to keep the Radio On all the time and use the "Vodafone Networks" Dialup Connection. You can even alter the options in Internet Explorer to Dial Whenever a Network Connection is Not Present.
The only problem with this method is that you cannot track your Usage, which is obviously quite important for some that have a monthly Usage limit.
Found a solution after trawling the Internet forever and trying all sorts - a nice little app that monitors your Dial Up Connection, gives you Bytes Sent, Bytes Received during Current Connection, Previous Connection and Totals Overall, and works on Windows 7 - and what's more it's free.
It's called RAS Monitor - you can find it here -
RAS Monitor v1.0 - Tong Software Inc.
Would like to find some more comprehensive software that will calculate your usage costs and details usage month by month etc...but so far haven't been successful. If anyone else has found anything, please share with us.
