The Dell Mini 12 is the 2nd model of the "Inspiron Mini" series of laptops, being released just a few months after the Mini 9 was first seen.
The Mini 12 has a 12.1 inch screen, just over 3 inches bigger than its predecessor in screen size. Despite the bigger screen it is incredibly thin; 21mm at its thinnest point, making it comparable to the Macbook Air.
For storage, for Mini 12 comes with either a 60GB or 80GB SATA harddrive, blowing away any storage issues that the Mini 9 had with its limited SSD technology.
There is however, due to the size and component specification, an on-going dispute to whether the Dell Mini 12 is a netbook or just budget laptop.
Here are known specs for the Dell Inspiron Mini 12, correct at time of publication.
Windows XP and Ubuntu available 2009.
